Sea & River
The day that made Dalyan famous
One river, three wonders: tombs carved for kings, mud warmed by the earth, and a beach the turtles chose first.
The experience
Slow water, deep time
Our wooden river boat slips out of Dalyan between walls of whispering reeds. Within minutes, the Lycian rock tombs appear above you — carved into the cliff face twenty-four centuries ago, close enough to study, impossible to forget.
We wind downriver through the delta's maze, pause at the thermal mud baths (yes, you will laugh; yes, your skin will thank you), and moor at İztuzu Beach — 4.5 kilometres of protected sand between river and open sea, nesting ground of the loggerhead turtle. Swim, nap, beachcomb; lunch is cooked on board while you do.
- Kaunos rock tombs from the water
- Thermal mud bath & sulphur pool stop
- Free time on İztuzu Turtle Beach
- Freshly grilled lunch on deck
- Optional Kaunos ancient city visit
