Sea & River
Twelve islands, one perfect blue
A slow gulet day through Göcek's sheltered archipelago — the bays you'll measure every other bay against.
The experience
The art of doing beautifully little
From Göcek's palm-lined marina we slip out among pine-covered islands scattered like stepping stones across the gulf. The captain knows which bay is calmest at every hour; your only job is deciding whether to swim before lunch, after it, or both.
Drop anchor off the Yassıca islets, where the water is a blue that doesn't photograph honestly. Drift past Tersane Island's old Ottoman shipyard, and the sunken walls at Hamam Bay — where, the story goes, Cleopatra once bathed. Lunch comes off the grill as the boat swings gently at anchor.
- Swim stops at Yassıca islets & hidden coves
- Tersane Island's Ottoman shipyard ruins
- Cleopatra's sunken bath at Hamam Bay
- Fresh lunch from the on-board galley
- Snorkelling gear on board
A typical day
Hour by hour
Collected from your accommodation; 35 minutes over the hills to Göcek marina.
Out of the marina and into the gulf — tea and biscuits as the islands rise ahead.
Anchor in the shallows between islets. Snorkels out, sun deck duty for the rest.
Grilled fish or chicken, mezes and salads, served in a bay with no road to it.
Swim over sunken ruins, then drift past the old shipyard island.
Back to the marina and home to Dalyan by early evening, salty and serene.
